New small group: “How to Study the Bible”
July 28th, 2008 by Adrienne
Do you find the Bible hard to apply to your life? Do you wonder why churches follow some of the Bible’s commands but not others? Do you sometimes have trouble articulating your position when discussing faith (or politics or morality or parenting) with friends? My answer was “yes!” So John and I decided to lead a new small group to start in mid-August. We will be gently tossing out big words like “exegesis” and “hermeneutics,” but it all really just means “studying the Bible.” None of us are experts, but we will be reading and discussing a book that IS written by experts. Interested?
For more information, visit our “How to Study the Bible” blog . You will learn more about the format of the group. If you want to join us, you can request a book and vote on what day you would like to meet. We look forward to hearing from you!
