I am looking for some people to help out with food service, help on the bbq grill and for some youth to help run our carnival games. A great way for your youth to earm those high school volunteer hours.
I am also in dire need of small prizes and candy for the Spring Fling. If you make it to Costco or Target feel free to walk by the candy aisle and throw a bag in for our Spring Fling. Candy and prizes can be dropped off at church or I can stop by and pick up from your door step.
We are nearing our big Spring Fling event. If you enjoyed this past weeks bbq then you must come and join us for our Spring Fling. Invite your friends, scream and shout and let everyone know about our Spring Fling event. Scheduled programs include a magic show, balloon maker, our 1st annual Pie Baking contest, some fun carnival games, candy, sno-cones, popcorn, cotton candy and a lot more. Plus do not miss out on a special game that we have devised for Pastor Seth, you will NOT want to miss this event. Spring Fling is on Saturday May17th at 3:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Let everyone you know about all the fun and games at pacific Church and best of all, it’s FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
We are only 49 days away from our 2008 Vacation Bible School session. We are gearing up for another great VBS session, last year we had over 120 children attend our VBS throughout the week and had over 30 teachers and volunteers help make the children feel welcomed to our program. As of now we have five confirmed teachers but are in need of many more to help with lessons and other activities. Youth are always welcomed to help and earn volunteer hours for their high school volunteer program. This year I will be away during VBS week, but in charge will be our very own Children’s Ministry Leader Tasha Anderson. Tasha has led VBS before and with your support she will once again do a marvelous job. If you are interested in volunteering you can contact either myself (Catarino) or Tasha by responding here or calling the church office. Thank you and we look forward to having your children join us this summer, June 23-27th.
If you answered yes, then God may be calling you to join our team of Sunday School Leaders. You don’t need experience, just a heart for sharing the hope and love of Jesus Christ with our precious children. Even if your children are grown and no longer in Sunday School, please consider leading. Your wisdom and knowledge is so needed right now. First Wednesday is back, and it’s time for our Countdown to Summer Celebration. All 5th and 6th graders are invited to join us for an evening jam-packed with pizza, games, good times with friends, and a chance to learn more about God.
Meet at the church this Wednesday, May 7th, at 7:00pm with $1 for pizza, shoes you can run in, and be ready to get a little wet in our fun summer games.
