If you already know about Paintball, and been a few times, you probably skip this page.

What is Paintball?  (Details from this paragraph were shamelessly pulled from the website at http://www.scvillage.com)
Paintball is an exciting version of capture the flag, promoting team work.  The game is played with two opposing teams competing utilizing Co2 Paintball Markers that propel a non-toxic washable gelatin capsule. When the paintball breaks on your opponent, he or she is eliminated. The game is won by successfully returning the opponent's flag to your team's flag station. Now, you don't have to be a "Rambo" type to have fun. Players come from all walks of life: lawyers, actors, doctors, truck drivers, waitresses, etc. Paintball is not just a man's sport. Women can, and do, play equally well.  You must be 10 years or older to play.  At SC Village (where we are playing at), the games are played in a park-like atmosphere on themed courses ranging from jungles with rivers to cityscapes to military camps. All games are controlled by experienced staff to insure player safety and fair play.

What should I wear?
As this is a tactical game, camouflage is preferred (the themed areas vary from tropical jungle to desert to european forest).  You will be climbing over branches, moving around trees, and along tight brush, so choose clothing that is durable, but flexible.

STRONGLY SUGGESTED
Clothing should fully cover you up, and also be loose to absorb the impact of the paintballs.  Long sleeves, and pant legs are a suggested must.  Men of all ages may wish to wear athletic protection for their sensitive areas.  Ankle Support (hiking boots, hi-top shoes, etc.) is highly recommended due to the various terrain and the potential trip-ups that might occur.  Hats serve to protect the top of the head from paintball hits, and prevent against sunburned scalps.

OPTIONAL CLOTHING
Gloves help to protect the hands when you are crawling.  Kneepads and elbow pads also help with this.  Your own facemask costs around $20, but it' s clean and doesn't smell like the last 30 people to wear it (eewwww!).  Squirt bottle for mask cleanup and cooling down between rounds (We'll have a few of them on hand anyway!).
