As we start a new year which is a tangible fresh start, it reminds me that this is part of God’s plan and how He works in our lives. He knows our human sinful nature and all of it’s frailties and He knew we would be in constant need of fresh starts and second chances. That’s why He created time and seasons.
Lamentations 3:22-23 says “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning, great is your faithfulness.”
No matter how difficult the trial, how deep our sin, how many times we fail, God will ALWAYS meet us when we come to Him and offer us forgiveness, rest, restoration and strength. Time after time after time.
I’m so thankful for new compassions every morning, Great is His Faithfulness!
