Psalms 34:5 Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.
After scanning through Genesis again, I am amazed at the messes we humans make. These messes come in all shapes and sizes. Here are a few you can find in Genesis.
- Looking out for #1,
- Resentment and bitterness,
- Blame-shift,
- Fear,
- Taking matters into my own hands,
- Jumping to the worst interpretations of someone’s actions or words,
- “I know what to do,” and
- Self-induced misery, are the ones that are easiest to spot.
Thank God, that when we face the horror in our own hearts, and own it in brokenness, the reality of being God’s beloved runs deeper, and trumps every shred of shame.
