Pacific Book Club - Spring 2020
1st Tueday/mo: Starting March 3
Time: 7:00-8:30 in PCI Conference Room
The bible is one large book made up of sixty-six smaller books. Trying to understand the entire bible is a lifelong challenge.
Dr. Larry Crabb, a dedicated student of the bible for sixty years has summarized each book of the bible in five or six pages.
Each chapter of his book is a synopsis of each book of the bible. Each chapter contains:
- The overall theme of the book,
- The main characters and events,
- How the book fits into the larger story of the bible
- What we are supposed to glean from each book.
Larry writes the book in a very personal way, as if he’s having a dialogue with God about each book. It’s engaging reading, and helps put the teachings of bible “on the bottom shelf.”
See Pastor Seth for details.
