Join us for a catered BBQ this Saturday, August 15th. Just the men, and no work involved! There will be briskets, ribs, chicken plus many side dishes. The BBQ will be held at Pastor Seth’s home and starts at 4:00pm. Cost is only $10 per person. RSVP’s are appreciated so we can plan on how much food to have. Join the men of PCI for a delicious breakfast in honor of Father’s Day.  This breakfast is for the men in our congregation, and for the men you want to invite who are part of your family, or who you know from work, or who are your friends or neighbors, or…even just acquaintances!  Think of it as a form of male bonding.  We will eat early, so please arrive on time.  And, the program will end at 9:00 am so you will still be able to do all those special things the weekend brings.

I decided to read the Bible in 2009.  I have read the whole Bible, and I’m a fairly consistent reader, but I’ve never done this before.  If you want to read more of God’s Word this year so that you know him better and win more of the battles against sin and unbelief, I’d encourage you to set a goal to read a particular amount of the Bible this year.  It doesn’t have the be the whole Bible…seriously.  Here is a link to Bethlehem Baptist Church’s website, where you can download two Bible reading plans, one from Discipleship Journal and one from Bethlehem Baptist.

Yep, the Men have been enjoying some new stuff, like Monday Night Football last week, and a movie the previous week.  This week is promising to be loads of fun with the start of the Monthly Poker Night, with friendly games, hanging out, and just having fun.  Cover is $5 for snacks and sodas, and leave the rest of your money home…  A few folks are bringing poker chips, and table covers, and the rest are bringing friends.  So, the details… 6:00pm sharp, Scott F.’s House.  Drop Benjamin an e-mail so he knows you’re coming and he can purchase enough snacks and soda for the bunch (and give you directions), or call him at 949-933-5404!!
