H2H - Saturday Morning Walk - Crystal Cove State Park

October 22nd, 2008 by Sherie

Hey Ladies:

Life gets really busy this time of year, but don’t forget to take time out for you!

Please join us for our walk at Cyrstal Cove State Park (the beach side) on Saturday, November 1st.  We did this walk in August, and the ladies were invigorated by the beauty of the ocean and empowered by accomplishing the walk.

We will be meeting at Rancho Middle School at 7:00am and then carpooling to Crystal Cove State Park.  Afterwards, we will be going to Pacific Whey for breakfast (YUM) so bring some extra $$.

This is a BEAUTIFUL walk and there are there are restroom facilities along the path.  Dogs are welcome, but must be leashed.  Bring water and wear sunscreen, sunscreen and hat/sunglasses.

If you have any questions, please contact Sherie S.  Hope to see you there.

H2H - LONG BEACH 1/2 MARATHON

October 13th, 2008 by Sherie

Tina M., Yolanda O. and Sherie S. participated in the Long Beach 1/2 Marathon on Sunday, Oct. 12th.  This was both Tina & Yolanda’s first 1/2 Marathon and they celebrated the sweet taste of victory having finished the walk with a smile in tact!

We had a GREAT time and met some wonderfully inspirational individuals along the way.  Furthermore, Tina and I got to experience prayer in action “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Way to go ladies, I am so PROUD of you.

H2H - P.O.P.

October 9th, 2008 by Sherie

H2H – P.O.P. - Power of Prayer

Have you ever been curious to see what the Lord would do in your life if you were to cast your cares upon Him (1 Peter 5:7)?   Let’s join together and pray for one another, and together we will wait and watch and see how He answers our requests (Matthew 18:19-20).

P.O.P meets every Friday at the “old” Vista Verde School located off of Michelson/Rosa Drew from 7:45-8:45am (we meet at the picnic tables where the lunch area was).  We will have a quick time of sharing/devotion and then spend the remainder time in prayer for our families, schools, careers, community, etc. (1 Timothy 2:1-6).

So grab a coffee, your bible and a journal and join us  and let’s watch what the Lord does!

For more information, please contact Sherie S.
