Seth made the announcement for the Samaritan’s Purse Christmas Catalogue two Sundays ago. This is a wondeful way of celebrating Christmas. Through Samaritan’s Purse, you can choose from 40 different ways to give a gift to the lost and the poor in Jesus’ name. The gifts you can purchase include medical supplies for sick children, training for new evangelists, and even a new water supply for a whole village. And, you can make your donation in someone’s name and give it as a gift to them! The online version is located at the following web site: https://giving.samaritanspurse.org/c-7-gift-catalog.aspx?skinid=1 (just click on the link to open it in a new internet window).

During the four Sundays of Advent, Pacific Church is thoughtfully combining our eager expectation for the coming of Jesus with care for our world today. Each Sunday we focus on giving to a different organization.
This Sunday, Nov. 30, is giving internationally. We are preparing care packages for our two overseas families that we support: The Acres of Love Bridges Forever Home in South Africa, and our dear family members Joel and Diana, who are serving the Muslim community. If you would like to support these people with prayer or donations, please use the “Talk to Us” form to the left.

A ray of sunshine…
On Saturday Nov 1, we made a special trip to the Door of Faith Orphanage to deliver much needed food and cash donations. The economic downturn hits charities, like orphanages, especially hard and not only are donations down but their normal flow of visitors is also down due to fuel costs and border city safety concerns. Our quick visit was greatly appreciated since we had brought over 200 pounds of food and nearly $2000 in cash and gift cards.

Yep, the Men have been enjoying some new stuff, like Monday Night Football last week, and a movie the previous week. This week is promising to be loads of fun with the start of the Monthly Poker Night, with friendly games, hanging out, and just having fun. Cover is $5 for snacks and sodas, and leave the rest of your money home… A few folks are bringing poker chips, and table covers, and the rest are bringing friends. So, the details… 6:00pm sharp, Scott F.’s House. Drop Benjamin an e-mail so he knows you’re coming and he can purchase enough snacks and soda for the bunch (and give you directions), or call him at 949-933-5404!!

Hey Ladies:
Life gets really busy this time of year, but don’t forget to take time out for you!
Please join us for our walk at Cyrstal Cove State Park (the beach side) on Saturday, November 1st. We did this walk in August, and the ladies were invigorated by the beauty of the ocean and empowered by accomplishing the walk.
We will be meeting at Rancho Middle School at 7:00am and then carpooling to Crystal Cove State Park. Afterwards, we will be going to Pacific Whey for breakfast (YUM) so bring some extra $$.
This is a BEAUTIFUL walk and there are there are restroom facilities along the path. Dogs are welcome, but must be leashed. Bring water and wear sunscreen, sunscreen and hat/sunglasses.
If you have any questions, please contact Sherie S. Hope to see you there.

H2H – P.O.P. - Power of Prayer
Have you ever been curious to see what the Lord would do in your life if you were to cast your cares upon Him (1 Peter 5:7)? Let’s join together and pray for one another, and together we will wait and watch and see how He answers our requests (Matthew 18:19-20).
P.O.P meets every Friday at the “old” Vista Verde School located off of Michelson/Rosa Drew from 7:45-8:45am (we meet at the picnic tables where the lunch area was). We will have a quick time of sharing/devotion and then spend the remainder time in prayer for our families, schools, careers, community, etc. (1 Timothy 2:1-6).
So grab a coffee, your bible and a journal and join us and let’s watch what the Lord does!
