The greatest things of life don’t suddenly “appear.”
Most of them you must build, through your blood, sweat and tears.
There’s no place for short cuts, or just getting by,
Diligent endurance you will need to apply.
In building a marriage or a newfound career,
Your business, finances, or a brand new frontier,
Building your character, people or ministry,
Takes day-by-day slogging, building willfully.
Building’s fraught with trials and hounded by trouble,
But you’re meant to find God when building from rubble!
This great silver lining, in the worst of your strife,
Will give you new meaning, and godly joy in this life.
